Primal shards remain the premium summoning resource in the game’s economy. They are best saved for 2x Primal windows, when the chance to hit a Mythical champion is at its highest. Outside those events, the opportunity cost is brutal. Every shard spent in a normal-rate window is one less shot at a true account-changing pull, and in a fusion season that can also mean losing out on Champion Chase or Summon Rush progress.

The best way to think about a Rhaia-style chase is simple: if the summon itself is not tied to a guaranteed path, then your shard plan has to be. Players with deep shard stacks can afford to chase a specific progressive pool or chase content for stream entertainment. Everyone else should prioritize value. That means saving Primal shards until a 2x event, then deciding whether the banner is worth opening at all based on account needs, not hype.

A single flashy summon video can make any champion feel mandatory, but most accounts progress faster by securing broad utility first: arena speed lead, campaign farmer, clan boss damage, dungeon wave control, and turn-meter manipulation. If your roster still lacks those foundations, a speculative Primal chase is a luxury, not a plan.

For endgame players, Rhaia-type attempts are only sensible if the champion fills a truly unique role. That is why the current meta discussion around shards keeps circling back to efficiency. Strong event timing, not raw impulse, is what separates a smart pull from a painful one.
