Talenna or Varkos? A smarter 15x Ancient pull decision
A 15x Ancient event always tempts players to chase a headline legendary, but the right choice depends on what your account actually needs. For most rosters, the better question is not “who is stronger?” but “which champion gives me the most immediate account value?” That is especially true when the pool includes two legendaries that fill very different jobs.
Varkos Headsplitter has emerged as the more universally desirable pull for players who want raw dungeon and progression value. Community testing has framed him as a champion who brings speed pressure, poison-based damage, and flexible utility into one kit. That combination matters because it scales well in everyday content: dragon waves, boss teams, and longer fights where poison and tempo control generate consistent returns. In practical terms, Varkos is the kind of legendary that can fit into multiple early- and midgame accounts without demanding a perfect setup.
Talenna is the more specialized prize. She can be built either as a fast control piece or as a poison-support style damage dealer, which gives her some adaptability, but she is typically more about targeted application than broad, plug-and-play dominance. If your account already has strong core carries, speed boosters, and debuff support, she can still add value as a flexible hybrid. If you are missing foundational progression pieces, though, she is usually the riskier gamble.
For F2P and low-spender players, this kind of event should be approached with discipline. A 15x boost does not guarantee a hit, and Ancient shards are too valuable to spend casually. Pull only if the champion you want would genuinely improve a key team: clan boss, Spider, Dragon, Ice Golem, or a tournament target. If you are already saving for a fusion, a guaranteed event, or a better fragment chase, skipping is often the strongest play.
For P2W and shard-rich accounts, the calculus changes. Pulling into a 15x can be reasonable if you are hunting a specific role and can absorb bad variance. Even then, Varkos is usually the better “all-purpose” target because damage-plus-utility champions age more gracefully than niche picks.
The bottom line: pull for Varkos if you want the broader upgrade; pull for Talenna only if your roster already covers the basics and you value her particular kit. In a shard economy as punishing as RAID’s, selective patience is often the best legendary strategy.
