Siegfrund the Nephilim Is a Live Arena Swing Pick
Live Arena rewards champions that can punish mistakes immediately, and Siegfrund the Nephilim does exactly that. This Mythical attack champion is built for explosive turns, but his real strength is flexibility: he can open as a devastating nuker, then flip into a support-oriented second form when the fight turns ugly.
In Base Form, Excoriating Edge is especially nasty into debuff teams. It attacks twice, transfers all debuffs from Siegfrund to the target on the first hit, then increases the duration of those debuffs by 1 turn on the second. That makes him unusually good into control-heavy drafts that rely on Poison, Decrease DEF, Fear, or other pressure effects. Seraphic Wave attacks all enemies, fills his Turn Meter by 25% on each critical hit, and can reset the cooldown of Rage of the Nephilim if it secures a kill. If it removes two enemies at once, it resets all of his skills. Rage of the Nephilim itself ignores 50% DEF and can cleave surplus damage into the rest of the enemy team.
His passives are what make him dangerous in longer Arena fights. Stay the Blade blocks a fatal hit, grants Block Damage for 2 turns, heals him by 50% MAX HP, and fills his Turn Meter completely. That creates punishing counterplay for opponents who think they have secured the kill. If his team collapses, Metamorph shifts him into his alternate form and grants an Extra Turn.
The alternate form is a genuine comeback kit. Burn It Out damages all enemies and heals allies. Nephilic Ward removes all debuffs, heals, and applies Block Debuffs. Light of the Beyond revives all dead allies at 50% HP and Turn Meter, then adds Block Damage. In practice, that means Siegfrund is not just an opener; he can also function as a late-game stabilizer.
For team building, speed support and protection remain essential. Arbiter still anchors many Arena turn-order teams with a 30% Arena Speed aura, while Ronda provides a straightforward 30% All Battles ATK aura for aggressive setups. Fast boosters, defense down, and reliable setup into an AoE nuke maximize Siegfrund’s value.
For free-to-play players, he is not a budget target, but he is worth building if pulled. For heavy spenders, he is one of the clearest examples of a Mythical that can decide drafts on his own. In the current Arena environment, Siegfrund is best viewed as a force multiplier: if your team already creates tempo, he turns that tempo into a win.
