How to Build Rhaia the Mourned in Raid: Shadow Legends
Rhaia the Mourned is one of the most exciting Void Legendaries to arrive in the Sylvan Watchers roster because she is built like a pure damage engine. She is an Attack champion with Void affinity, which immediately makes her attractive for high-end PvE and PvP teams where raw output and weak-hit protection matter. Her kit is centered on repeated single-target pressure, self-sustain, and tempo gain through Extra Turns, so the best build is the one that helps her cycle skills as often as possible while keeping her alive long enough to snowball.
The first priority is simple: stack Crit Rate, Crit Damage, ATK, and Speed. Rhaia wants to hit hard, but she also needs enough turn frequency to capitalize on her extra-turn mechanics. In most builds, 100% Crit Rate is non-negotiable, followed by as much Crit Damage as your gear allows. Speed should not be ignored, especially if you want her to function in Demon Lord, Hydra, or general PvE wave content where she benefits from acting before enemies recover.
For gear sets, the most consistent options are Lethal, Savage, Cruel, and high-quality Speed combinations. If your account has the gear, armor-ignoring sets are ideal because they multiply her single-target burst and let her stay relevant against endgame defense values. For newer accounts, a mixed build with strong substats is far better than forcing a premium set with weak rolls. She is not the kind of champion who needs gimmicky survivability sets to function; she needs offense and turn cycling.
In terms of content, Rhaia is best treated as a boss killer and elite nuker, not a general-purpose support. She is especially valuable in encounters where repeated single-target damage matters more than crowd control. That makes her a strong candidate for Doom Tower bosses, Iron Twins-style progression, Hydra heads, and certain arena compositions that rely on deleting one key target before the enemy team stabilizes.
For masteries, prioritize the standard damage path: Helmsmasher is usually the best capstone for maximum burst, especially if you are using armor-ignoring gear. If you need smoother consistency in mixed content, Warmaster is not the ideal choice for a pure damage dealer like her unless you are specifically tuning her for long boss fights with frequent attacks.
Free-to-play players should focus on good stat lines rather than chasing perfect sets. A well-rolled Crit Damage gloves, ATK% chest or Speed boots, and strong offensive substats can carry Rhaia far. Pay-to-win players can push her into terrifying territory with endgame Savage/Lethal gear and top-tier accessories, but the core principle stays the same: maximize damage, then enough Speed to let her keep taking turns.
If built correctly, Rhaia the Mourned is not just a flashy new Legendary — she is the kind of champion that can anchor your single-target damage plan for a long time.
