Deathdealer Relic in 2026: who should equip it and why
Deathdealer is one of the most polarizing relics in RAID: Shadow Legends because it asks you to trade survivability for pure pressure. Its core value is simple: it dramatically improves your attacker’s reliability by forcing critical output and turning otherwise inconsistent nukers into much more dependable finishers. In practice, that makes it strongest on champions whose kit already rewards overwhelming burst, extra turn cycling, or one-shot potential.
The relic is not a universal upgrade. If a champion already struggles to stay alive, Deathdealer can make bad matchups worse by amplifying the damage they take. That means the best users are usually glass-cannon damage dealers who enter the fight to delete a target before being focused down themselves. Arena offense, Live Arena counterpicks, and aggressive wave-clearing teams are the obvious homes.
Best use cases
- Single-target nukers: Champions built to erase one enemy at a time get the most from guaranteed crit pressure.
- Speed-driven teams: If your team moves first, Deathdealer’s downside matters less because the fight may end before the enemy can punish it.
- Champions with built-in safety: Unkillable, damage mitigation, self-shields, or revive support help offset the relic’s fragility tax.
What to avoid
Do not slap it on champions whose job is primarily control, support, or tanking. The relic does nothing for a cleanser, healer, or reviver that isn’t meant to deal meaningful damage. It is also a poor fit for slow bruisers that need to survive multiple enemy turns to matter.
F2P and P2W perspective
For free-to-play players, Deathdealer is a luxury tool, not a first priority. Early and midgame accounts usually get more value from relics that improve consistency, survivability, or utility across multiple modes. For endgame and spend-heavy accounts, Deathdealer becomes a specialist weapon: incredibly strong when paired with premium champions and tuned teams, but unnecessary in every slot.
Practical champion guidance
The best Deathdealer carriers are the champions already trusted to close fights: hard-hitting nukers, bonus-turn assassins, and arena finishers with built-in protection. If a champion is only good when they crit, Deathdealer can raise their floor. If a champion already crits reliably, the relic is only worth it when the upside outweighs the defensive cost.
Bottom line
Deathdealer is a kill-speed relic, not a comfort relic. Equip it when your plan is to win fast, hit hard, and accept risk. Skip it when the champion’s real job is to live longer, not hit harder.
